Health and safety stand down day

Team Building at Apollo Civil Engineering Improving Collaboration Through Play_

On Friday 16 January 2026, Apollo Civil Engineering held a company wide Health and Safety Stand Down Day, pausing site activity to focus fully on how we keep people safe at work.

We invited Risk Fluent to deliver a practical workshop with our teams. The session focused on real site behaviours, recognising risk early, and personal responsibility. It was not about policy for the sake of it. It was about how decisions are made on site and how small actions can prevent incidents.

In the afternoon, we brought site teams together to talk through our plans for Apollo’s growth in 2026. We shared how the business is developing and why continued investment in training, competence, and safety is essential as we take on more work across live sites.

The stand down day gave us protected time to reset expectations, reinforce standards, and make sure everyone understands how safety, training, and sustainable growth are directly linked.
